Welcome to APCEThe mission of APCE is to connect, enrich, empower, and sustain persons who serve in and advocate for lifelong faith formation and educational ministries in the Reformed family of churches, partnering and collaborating with others in witness to Christ’s ministry of love, justice, and peace.
Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
We, the Association of Partners in Christian Education, value faith formation for all ages, stages, and walks of life. As we continue to learn and grow as baptized people, we acknowledge a lack of diversity in our organization. As followers of Jesus Christ, we admit we fall short in acting upon what we hear, not listening to all voices at the table. We acknowledge that our actions, both implicit and explicit, have stifled these voices long silenced. Jesus calls us to inclusiveness, which we seek to embody as we wrestle with how to achieve diversity, equity, and justice.

Connecting, Enriching, Empowering, Sustaining
These are the four themes that shape APCE’s mission to the greater church. There is great value in connecting with colleagues in ministry, whether fellow volunteers, persons employed in the ministry of Christian education, pastors of congregations, persons serviing in various levels of denominational service, or those who have retired from positions of leadership, but continue to be committed to this ministry. APCE offers a variety to means to connect with others engaged in this ministry.
Networks
New to APCE this year are Networks. Networks are affinity groups that strengthen your ministry and Christ’s Church. These Networks are emerging from the APCE membership, as those who wish to connect around particular populations served, or common roles in the church, or geographic locations, or any other interest. They will gather online during the year, and might get together at the Annual Event. Anyone can join as many Networks as they wish.
Online Courses and Webinars
Throughout the year, APCE offers Online Courses and Webinars on a variety of topics, seeking to meet the needs of our members. Some of the courses offered are designed to meet the preparation requirements for Educator Certification in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and the Moravian Church in America, Southern Province.
The APCE Annual Event
Every year, APCE offers a conference for all those engaged in the ministry of Christian education, the APCE Annual Event. The Event includes well-known engaging speakers and preachers, as well as over 60 workshops and so much more, held in a different part of the country each year. In addition to attending the Annual Event in person, attended can instead choose to participate through a professionally produced online event.

The GLAPCE Fall Event

Come to the GLAPCE Fall Event for:
- Keynote experiences with Guest Speaker Carol McDonald.
- Conversations to help ground and equip us for transition, so that we can help guide those in our ministries through times of change and transition. No matter what age or type of group you work with most, change affects all people.
- Opportunities to listen, reflect, interact, and plan how to apply material in your context.
- Meaningful Worship times, including communion together on Thursday.
- Sabbath rest time on Wednesday afternoon.
- Tours of the farm on campus, indoor and outdoor stations of the cross, self-guided tours of the campus, an outdoor labyrinth, and walking paths; or a nap, reading, your own project — the time is yours!
