Lanie Sipes (she/her/hers) is the Associate Pastor of Second Presbyterian Church in Newark, Ohio. She currently serves on the PCUSA’s Educator Certification Committee as Moderator and participates in a children’s ministry cohort through Practical Resources for Churches (PRC). Lanie was also one of the workshop leaders for the Arts, Recreation, and Worship (ARW) Conference at Montreat in May 2026 – she led a class called, Playing with Praygrounds: Cultivating Intentional Space in Worship for Kids. Lanie loves being innovative, imaginative, and creative as she explores and grows in faith with disciples of all ages, and she is excited for the opportunity to serve on the Leadership Team for 2027 APCE and imagine and create the Spirituality Center! Her favorite thing is spending time with her husband, Mike, and five-year-old son, Luka. She enjoys reading (lots of reading), traveling with family, listening to podcasts, singing, watching tv shows, being creative, going on walks, and coffee with friends.
