Rev. Royal S. Todd is a native of Louisville, Kentucky where he accepted his call to ministry at the age of twelve. In 2013 Rev. Todd was licensed at the CableMissionary Baptist Church under his Pastor Anthony Middleton where he would later return to be ordained. Throughout his time in ministry Rev. Todd has been blessed by God to carry the gospel across the breadth of the nation, using his gifts to show the love of Jesus Christ and toward the work of the Church. Rev. Todd is an alumnus of the University of Kentucky, receiving a B.A. in Philosophy with minors in Sociology and African American Studies. Subsequently, he earned a Master of Divinity degree from the School of the Prophets at Vanderbilt University Divinity School with a certification in Black Church Studies through the Kelly Miller Smith Institute. Currently, Rev. Todd is a Provost Graduate Fellow, an R.H. Boyd Graduate fellow, and Russell G. Hamilton Scholar at Vanderbilt University where he is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Religion, Ethics, & Society. Additionally, Rev. Todd serves at the First BaptistChurch, Capitol Hill as assistant to the Pastor for children, youth, and young adults. Rev. Royal S. Todd is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.
